MAD ABOUT BROOKLYN BRIDGE

"Discipline is the bridge between goals & accomplishment." -Jim Rohn 🌟

"Success is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm."

Hi Lovlies!

It's been a very busy last few weeks: celebrated my Birthday, Mother's Day, traveled to PA and now welcoming summer with open arms.  Bebe had a going out sale at my hometown mall, and though I was very sad that they will not be there any more, I got to steal two gorgeous dresses for half the regular price!  Bittersweet deal for sure.  My favorite of the two is featured in this amazing shoot on the Brooklyn Bridge!

I will always lust after the iconic structures, buildings and parks of Manhattan.  They are all just so fabulous and historical!  Though extremely dangerous, I frolicked and danced on my bare feet all over the wooden part of the Brooklyn Bridge.  Needless to say, I almost got taken out by high speed bikers multiple times.  The things you do for your blog!

The Brooklyn Bridge is famous for standing majestically over New York City’s East River linking the two boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn. Since 1883.  It was created before its time by John Augustus Roebling.  Construction of this bridge took 14 years and cost $15 million (more than $320 million in today’s dollars)!  Many tourists to Manhattan make it a point to walk from Manhattan to Brooklyn once to soak in the bridge's beautiful views of both sides.

Wedding Guest Dresses!

This blush and lace Bebe dress is a perfect choice for all those summer weddings we have been excited to attend of those we care about!  As we should all know, you never want to out-do or out-dress the bride! Or her bridesmaids for that matter.

Wedding Guest No-No's:

-Wearing WHITE, Red & Black. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I think it is a given you do not wear the same color as the bride, this is her special day in her romantic journey of her life-let her wear white!  Solid and bold red just screams "look at me!"  Maybe reserve the solid red dress for a sexy date night out, and not be so distracting from what is important-the bride and groom.  However, I had a best friend choose red and black as her theme for her wedding and that was an exception to the wear red rule!  lastly, yes, black is sliming and looks good on everyone, but isn't black reserved for funerals?  This is a happy and celebratory occasion! Wear happy and bright colors.

-Drinking too much!  You do not want to be that sloshy girl in all of the wedding photos, because we've all seen that girl, or uncle enjoy the open bar a little too much.  Be classy and enjoy your time while also remembering how to get home.

-Not bringing a wedding gift.  You have to give the bride and groom something, people!  It is their special day, and like a birthday, you should give them a card or a thoughtful, yet affordable gift for you, to them!   Some affordable wedding gifts are in a carousel below in case your bride or groom does not have a registry, or everything is purchased from it already.

Here I picked some other similar options to consider for your next wedding to attend.  Enjoy celebrating those you love and support them in entering the next chapter in their lives!  Xo
